How do I know a card is authentic?
Every card carries a unique cert number printed on the slab. Look it up any time to confirm the grade and details match what you received.
Do you also offer grading services?
Apex Cards is our storefront for cards we've already graded and sell direct. If you'd like your own cards submitted for grading, that's handled by Apex Grading Company.
How do I know an item isn't counterfeit?
Every graded card carries an Apex Grading Company cert number you can verify independently — that's your strongest guarantee. For raw singles, we assess authenticity as part of listing each card, checking print quality, card stock, and known misprint patterns for the set. If you want to sharpen your own eye before buying anywhere, these guides are a good starting point: Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Pokémon. As a general rule: research what a card should look like and typically sell for before buying anywhere, and treat a steep, unexplained discount on a rare or valuable card as a reason to slow down and double-check, not a reason to rush.
